Amber is an artist and painter devoted to her craft. She has an eye for color and can spruce up
anything with a cute design. She spends most of her time creating custom orders for her clients
or leading art direction for workshops at their retail location. Leandro is a creative designer and a
perfectionist. Loves old wood and his business. He spends each day creating new artistic birdhouses
and garden accents. Their warehouse is big enough for him to spread his wings.

What is your profession, and why do you do it?
"My husband and I create birdhouses and custom garden signs out of reclaimed fencing.
We have our store in Costa Mesa and we also sell antiques."
Why do you love America?
"America gives me the opportunity to be free and to pursue my dreams without limitations."
What freedoms do you value most in this country?
"Freedom of religion, freedom of speech."
What values do you hope America never loses?
"Freedom of speech."
How has living in America shaped who you are today?
"I have endless opportunities and many options presented to me each day."
What does “the American Dream” look like to you?
"The American dream is having freedom to live my best life, with the guidance of God."
What part of America’s history inspires you?
"The part where immigrants came here through Ellis Island and they were able to have
opportunities to be free and to work for their families future. I also like today, where
Trump enforces our laws and is getting things back on track."
What do you wish more people understood about this country?
"That freedom was not just given to us. Lots of blood and sacrifice by men and women
before us. Being grateful is the key. And of course, faith."
What do you think is important for the next generation to know?
"Be grateful for all that was done before you, whether it be your parents, your country,
Jesus' Sacrifice and to work hard for your goals."

How are you celebrating America's 250th birthday?
"We will go to celebrations in our town. Definitely fly our flag as much as possible
and eat hot dogs as much as possible."

What is your profession, and why do you do it?
"I'm a woodworker. I love making birdhouses and signs for our customers. We have a retail store
in Costa Mesa and a warehouse in Anaheim. Making crafts for a living is such much fun."
Why do you love America?
"America is the best country in the world. My family has been in the United States for over
200 years."
What freedoms do you value most in this country?
"Freedom of speech and 2A."
What values do you hope America never loses?
"Patriotism."
How has living in America shaped who you are today?
"I thank God for having freedom to live my life."
What does “the American Dream” look like to you?
"My life is living the American dream. I own my house. I have my business. I have a family.
Life is awesome."
What part of America’s history inspires you?
"The Industrial age. Where people built America."
What do you wish more people understood about this country?
"That people have freedom to be whatever they want to be."
What do you think is important for the next generation to know?
"History. Don't forget about American history or you're doomed to repeat the bad stuff."
